Dixie D'Amelio's Shimmery Triangl Bikini Proves the Metallic Trend Can Work for Summer

Dixie D'Amelio is here to prove us wrong about the metallic trend. When you think of shimmery looks, you probably think fall and winter, not the hottest, sunniest days of summer. Shiny, textured fabric feels more like a cool-weather thing because it's so perfect for pants and jackets, but D'Amelio's latest look has us rethinking all that.

On a recent trip to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, D'Amelio donned a teeny-tiny metallic sparkly black bikini to show that the trend can absolutely work in the heat, not just for a New Year's Eve party. The suit has a straight-across bra top with shoulder straps and a classic side-tie bottom, both in a dark shimmery lurex that reflects the light from the sun — or a camera flash. D'Amelio styled her suit with a few layered necklaces, tightly braided French braid pigtails (perfect to keep your hair out of your face on a hot day!), a smoky bronze eye with heavy eyeliner on her lower lashline and nude stiletto nails. OK, OK, we're convinced — metallic isn't just for the cooler months! (Megan Thee Stallion would agree; she recently wore a metallic bra top and matching see-through skirt.)

If you love D'Amelio's sparkly suit, you're in luck! It's the Este Mana Sparkle suit from Triangl and retails for $89 (£69) for the set.

Dixie D'Amelio tends to prefer dark colours and rich textures like her bikini; for the launch of her footwear line, she wore a black metallic two-piece set of a cropped bandeau top and low-rise skirt, with her platinum blonde hair pulled back. While she does wear color, it's obvious that she's drawn to black and more goth-inspired 'fits, like this dramatic off-the-shoulder lace gown that left one leg completely bare. The metallic bikini fits right in in her wardrobe — and if super shiny metallic is your fave trend of the past few years, maybe it'll be part of yours too!
