Sharing clothes with your partner, roommate, or BFF is part of the fun of such close relationships. As Hailey Bieber just discovered, finding inspiration in someone else's closet can lead to exciting wardrobe breakthroughs, . The model just went shopping in her husband Justin Bieber's underwear drawer for a fresh new way to go pantless.

No, Hailey wasn't wearing Justin's 2016-era Calvin Klein boxer briefs — you remember those, right? Instead, it looks as though the model swiped a pair of basic cotton boxers from her musician husband and styled them with a striped tee, a canvas barn jacket, white socks, and black Vans sneakers.

"Outfit from husbands [sic] closet," Mrs Bieber wrote. She didn't specify how many pieces actually belonged to Justin — could be the whole 'fit, could be just the shorts — but it's a fun balance of his-and-hers elements that feels true to both Biebers.

Underwear dressing has been one of the most prevalent trends of the past few years, with sheer textures and lingerie-inspired corsets, and lace details dominating celeb fashion. (Just refer to Rihanna, queen of lingerie dressing, for inspo galore.)

But lately, our favourite stars have been incorporating actual underwear into their day-to-day looks, like Bieber's boxer-centric style. Bieber's pal Kylie Jenner wore a pair of white Loewe briefs with a matching tank top at Paris Fashion Week in October, styling the loungewear look with sheer black tights and a grey overcoat. Kylie's big sister Kendall Jenner co-signed the look a month later in knitted Bottega Veneta boyshorts over tights.

It seems as though the boxers-as-shorts look is catching on for summer 2023, as the trend is also popping up on TikTok. It makes sense, given that boxers have a looser cut and are typically made with lightweight, cool cotton or cotton poplin for a lightweight, effortless feel on sticky summer days.

Boxers add a touch of humour to all kinds of looks, from a menswear-inspired jacket and dad trainers to a cute, casual moment with a tube top and baseball cap. They're as versatile as your favourite denim cutoffs but a whole lot breezier — as Justin and Hailey Bieber can attest.
