Taylor Swift fans are beside themselves at the prospect that she may finally be playing at next year's Glastonbury Festival (!!).

Back in 2020, Tay-Tay was forced to pull out of the world-famous annual musical festival due to the Covid pandemic.

But after Taylor finally announced her UK tour dates for next year, eagle-eyed fans began speculating at a possible hint for her to perform at Glastonbury, which has seen fellow icons such as Beyoncé and Elton John headline.

As part of the second international leg of her Eras Tour, the Midnights singer announced nine UK dates in Edinburgh, Liverpool, Cardiff and London in 2024.

However, the dates run from June 7 and end on June 22, and then she will head to Dublin on June 28 and 29. There is then a gap in her schedule until July 5.

Meanwhile, next year's Glastonbury will take place between June 26 and June 30, meaning that after Ireland, there is time for Taylor to head back to perform on Sunday, June 30.

Furthermore, to add to the speculation, Glastonbury organiser Emily Eavis told Variety last year: "I think we've got Taylor on board next time she's doing some touring."

Of course, social media went wild at the prospect of seeing Taylor at Glastonbury. One person tweeted: "babe wake up, Taylor Swift dropped the eu eras tour dates & there's a glastonbury sized gap."

Another wrote: "TAYLOR SWIFT. GLASTONBURY 2024. SUNDAY NIGHT. Putting money on it now," while a third added: "Taylor swift is soooo gonna headline glastonbury 🕯️." Oh, we hope so!

Needless to say, given the Stateside hype around the show, expectations are high for the UK tour.

We also can imagine that getting a hold of tickets to see Taylor Swift will well and truly be a scramble. So, good luck to anyone after those tickets (basically all of us).
